Sawing up large diameter stumps can be a real challenge unless you have the right tool for the job.

In this video Stephen Cook makes coffee table tops using a 36" wide stump and saws multiple tops with the Cook's SW52 Super Wide cut sawmill.

Hello I'm Stephen Cook with Cook Saw Manufacturing and we have a sawmill set up this morning and I wanted to share with you how you can use it to cut a big round block of wood for making table tops and lazy susans or whatever you think you might want.

To do so I'm just going to crank this up and cut several pieces and we’ll show that to you.

This is about a 36 inch diameter stump and this is set up on our Super Wide SW52 sawmill. We have other videos you can go to see all the features of it I just want to keep this kind of short and just let you see what we're doing today.

If you have good blades and a good machine you can cut some nice stuff. It is nice to just grab your sawmill and have a log up there and cut. I plan to just cut a few of these and throw them up on Facebook and offer them out there for fifty dollars each. I think some people get a lot more than that but I'll just try to move these things.

With a stump like this you'll get all kinds of character even with this split that's here in the middle and all these blemishes they just look really nice when you finish those out and all y'all are Woodworkers so you kind of know what's going on there.

We build these sawmills and we make saw blades here so give us a call we'll be glad to help you. We've been in business for more than 50yrs going all the way back to our beginning when we used to do saw repair so give us a call and talk to one of our sales people and we will do everything we can to help you Thank you.
