Edgers

Edging boards with a board edger is a highly efficient way of trimming rough cut lumber. By adding an edger to your operation you are adding efficiency and production. Although bandmills are great at producing finished lumber, it is a proven fact that an edger will increase the board ft. yield and increase profits.

With a board edger you can take a rough cut board from your sawmill that still have edging or bark on the side and run them through a twin saw edger and trim both edges in one pass. This process on a sawmill is often time consuming in comparison to the efficiency of a board edger.

For example, people who are using our edgers are reporting a 35%-50% increase in production. In real terms, if you are grossing $500 a day and you add an edger, you will increase your income by a minimum of 35%! That is a difference of $70 per day (based on a net $200 take home per day)! That is $3,500 a month extra for a 20 day work month! It will cost you money not to have an edger.
